Hey guys, this is a tutorial that's going to show you from start to finish, how to successfully rip assets from games using several different methods and how to successfully port aforementioned assets to Fallout 4.

This is my favorite tutorial because when I was first playing Bethesda Softworks games on my Xbox 360 as a kid I always wondered how people got characters like Predator, Terminator, or Samus into the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games. After I got my first gaming computer I was determined to port tons of Halo assets to Fallout 3, and after tons of trial and error I finally got it down and it felt like a major accomplishment. That was the start of my modding hobby. I've been modding now for over 15 years.

In this tutorial I will show you how to rig ported characters as well as create new collisions for ported static objects. You can apply the techniques that you learn in this tutorial to just about any type of ripped assets that you might have. If you've already read my tutorial about creating custom armors for Fallout 4 using Blender, you might be wondering what the difference is between that tutorial and this one. Well, this tutorial is specifically oriented towards ripped assets that may come in various formats and have unique requirements in order to properly sanitize and port them for use with Fallout 4. More often than not ripped assets will need some kind of modifications in order to get then working properly.
